Turks have founded many states throughout history and made efforts to bring justice and order to the world. In periods when Turks were strong and united, they spread peace, justice, tolerance, tranquility and mercy in the world. They built civilizations that enlightened the world and shaped history. They valued knowledge and scholars and they respected different ideas. Turkish states have always been a reliable sanctuary and a warm home for all the oppressed and victims in every era. Our ancestors have set an example not only with their power but also with their virtues and morals. They have opened and closed eras, leaving behind unique achievements and victories; they became the terrifying nightmare of the tyrants. Turks have always stood by the side of the righteous, not just the powerful. We fell apart, got divided and disintegrated when we drifted apart and failed to unite. We forgot our past and identity. As our unity faltered, the order was disrupted, conscience vanished, mercy and justice disappeared. The voice of the powerful, not the rightful, became dominant and the balance between the right and the truth were disturbed.
The Western civilization which was built upon the heritage of Turkish-Islamic civilization, may appear relatively advanced in fields such as science, technology and industry. Unfortunately, it failed to bring justice, conscience and mercy to humankind. The colonial mindset, ambition to win and the pursuit of prosperity through the blood and tears of people they do not accept as their own became dominant in the world.
We know that the Turkic world is the only address that will shape history and the world with a joint development and prosperity movement. We believe that the Turkic world should achieve unity as soon as possible and make joint decisions and act together in every field. Based on our common history, language, culture, traditions and values, we believe that the Turkish civilization will rise again.
Throughout history, we have always been at the center of the geography that hosted civilizations and shaped the world's balance. With the power we inherited from our ancient civilization heritage and rooted state consciousness, we aim to take significant and historic steps in the unity of friendly and brotherly countries for the 21st century to be the century of Türkiye and the Turkic world.
With the inspiration and energy from our past and the belief that parliamentarians should lead the union of the Turkic world and shape the future together, we established the Turkic World Parliamentary Foundation in Ankara, on March 3, 2016.
According to the understanding of our foundation, the Turkic world encompasses not only the Turkic states but also the entire heartland where Turks and related communities live and where Turkish-Islamic civilizations once thrived. We believe that all people living in this geography, who share a common history and past, should build the future together, based on rationality, morality and justice. We plan and implement all of our activities and projects based on this belief.
Parliamentarians are individuals entrusted with the responsibility of representing and voicing the thoughts, opinions and demands of a society. They should always be one step ahead of the people they represent. As the parliamentarians of the Turkic world countries, we strive to enhance unity, love, respect, friendship, brotherhood and solidarity in all segments of society. We aim to enhance our communication and cooperation to the highest level. We make efforts to increase political, social, economic and cultural collaboration. We take the lead in strengthening our bonds and promoting our shared means and values derived from our history and culture.
In order to achieve our objectives, we have formed the Turkic World Business Council, Youth Council, Sports Council, Science Council and Press Council within the structure of the Foundation.
Turkic World Business Council works towards increasing our economic cooperation and developing mutual trade volume with not only the Turkic world countries but also all nations. The Council leads the way in coordinating, assisting and fostering collaboration among our business people, facilitating joint projects and strategic investments both in Türkiye and abroad. The Council only accepts competent and qualified business people who love their country and nation, adhering to the principles of Akhism (a Turkish guild system) with honesty, trustworthiness and virtue.
Turkic World Youth Council is a voluntary group of young people aiming to promote integration and the construction of a shared future among young people in Türkiye and other Turkic world countries. The mission of this Council is to be organized in all countries and universities over time, becoming the united voice of Turkic world youth.
The Turkic World Sports Council, established with the purpose of fostering unity and togetherness among young people in Türkiye and countries where Turkic world and related communities reside. The Sports Council works towards increasing mutual interaction and closeness through sports. The objective for this Council is to be organized in all countries and become the collective voice of Turkic world athletes.
Within our Turkic World Science Council, our scientists develop and implement joint scientific studies and projects for the future, drawing inspiration and self-confidence from important and pioneering figures guided by the Turkic civilization throughout history.
The Turkic World Press Council works to enhance communication and collaboration among our press members, develop common projects, raise awareness of the Turkic world on the global agenda, increase the visibility of our shared historical and cultural heritage, contribute to the recognition of influential political, scientific and spiritual individuals who play a crucial role in the development of Turkic civilization.
In order to fulfill the objectives of our foundation, we organize various programs such as conferences, workshops, congresses, academic trainings, competitions, award ceremonies, discussions and international trips.
● Numerous topics are brought to the public's attention through face-to-face and online conferences and discussions.
● Scientific meetings like the International Maturidi Workshop delve into the world of thought of important figures in the Turkic world.
● Events like the International Akhism and Ahi Evran Competitions aim to keep Akhism in the public agenda, ensuring its practice and preservation.
● The training provided at the Politics and Leadership Academies prepares our youth for the future.
● The International Student Academies encourage a sense of shared history and a common future among Turkic world youth.
● Events like the International Turkic Energy Union Congress provide an opportunity to discuss the common issues in the Turkic world.
● Through international trips, we strive to leave our footsteps in every corner of the Turkic world geography.
● Programs such as the International Gallipoli Solidarity and the Turkic World Unity and Solidarity Night contribute to the potential of the Turkic world to act together and build a shared future.
● The annual Turkic World Awards Ceremony aims to encourage and recognize individuals who have made valuable and impactful contributions in Turkic world countries.
● We support scientific research through the Parliamentary Magazine and various book publications.
● The educational and IT projects of our Youth Council also make significant contributions to the acquaintance, cohesion, joint action, personal development and future preparation of the Turkic world youth.
We make efforts to pass the legacy of great statesmen, thinkers and spiritual individuals who have constructed our ancient civilization and carried it through challenging stages to the present. With this inspiration we inherited from them, we strive to make new advancements.
We are aware that it requires determination and endeavor to ensure the revival of the Turkic world and restore our unity in various fields. As a foundation, we are involved in this struggle with all our strength. We will work with utmost dedication to strengthen our unity and solidarity, raise the levels of collaboration in business, ideas and hearts within the Turkic world and preserve and uphold the values that define us.
